Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma's next film to feature his son Utkarsh Sharma and this National Award winner: Report

Filmmaker Anil Sharma is currently basking in the success of his latest release Gadar 2, which has earned more than Rs 450 crore at the box office in India. Apart from Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Manish Wadhwa, the action-packed sequel also features his son Utkarsh Sharma as Jeete aka Charanjeet Singh, reprising his role from 22 years ago in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.

As Gadar 2 has become a monstous hit, audiences are waiting to see what Anil Sharma will make next. And now, as per the latest reports, the director is set to start filming his next in November. The upcoming film again features his son Utkarsh with the National Award-winning actor Nana Patekar.

A source was quoted telling Pinkvilla, "Anil Sharma had an idea for a film featuring Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma for a while now and following the success of Gadar 2, he is ready to take this film on floors. It’s currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to start rolling in November this year. It’s a commercial drama, and the filmmaker plans to shoot it in Mumbai, and Goa among other places."

The report also added that after completing the yet untitled film with Utkarsh and Nana, Anil Sharma will start filming Apne 2 with the Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol. Apne, released 16 years back, was the first film to feature all the three Deols together on the screen, and also starred Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, and Kirron Kher in the lead roles. After the 2007 emotional drama, Dharmendra, Sunny, and Bobby were also seen together in the three films in the comedy franchise Yamla Pagla Deewana.
