Gold vs Satyamev Jayate: Akshay Kumar's golden reply on clash with John Abraham is winning hearts

Akshay Kumar gave a golden reply when asked about the clash with John Abraham!

Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy starrer Gold is all set for its release on Independence Day. Gold will be facing a clash with John Abraham starrer Satyamev Jayate which also arrives on the same date. In one of his recent interviews, when John Abraham was quizzed about the clash on the box ofice, the actor said, "Akshay is my good friend. We get along really well and we wish best for each other… to avoid a clash between the two films is the production house's responsibility.”

During a special event of Gold, Akshay Kumar was informed about John Abraham's comment on the clash. When Akshay was asked to comment on the same, he replied saying, "John is my friend. In the industry, we all are friends. I have learnt that we can come together on any date. We all are friends (laughs).”

The actor was pushed again to comment on the clash by one of the mediapersons. On that, Akshay didn't think twice and ended up trolling the journalist. He said, "It is true that he is my friend and I have learned that anyone can release their film with other actor's film. Next time, I will also do the same."

Akshay's comment left the media in splits. Also the actor showed his witty side with the comment. The trailer of Gold has been received well by the audience and now everyone is waiting for its release with bated breath. 

Gold marks to be the first association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Gold marks the Bollywood debut of actress Mouni Roy opposite Akshay Kumar. 

Apart from Akshay and Mouni, Gold has an ensemble cast of Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh, Sunny Kaushal and Nikita Dutta. 

Gold is about India's first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1946 at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London. The period film helmed by Reema Kagti has been shot across the UK and India. Staying true to the genre of the film, the film is to release on Independence Day this year.

Written and directed by Reema Kagti, the film will hit the theatres on August 15, 2018.
