Harshvardhan Kapoor loses to elder sister at box office?

Contesting against the Veeres has turned out to be infertile for Mirzya debutant Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. The actor's film which released opposite sister Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s Veere Di Wedding, made less than Rs. 50 lakh on the first day of its release and has crashed drastically unlike Veere Di Wedding, which is ruling the box office, much like the leading ladies in the film.

According to reports, the Vikramaditya Motwane directorial, which revolves around Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (Harshvardhan Kapoor) and his tale of vigilante justice, is witnessing scarce footfall and is loosing screenings at the rate of 30 to 40 per cent. An official from a multiplex told Mid-Day, "The morning shows of Bhavesh Joshi have been cancelled as we hardly had any audience opting for it. We have added more shows of Veere Di Wedding instead."

The film is also pitched against Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, Raazi and Deadpool 2, which too has resulted in a box office collection of Rs 1 crore over the weekend. The failure of the film negates the popular notion that ‘star kids have it easy’. But it is never too late.

The upcoming months may be fruitful for the actor who has three major releases lined up. These releases will hopefully establish the actor as bankable, credible and hit.

Harshvardhan Kapoor will next be seen in a biopic on the Olympic gold medal winning shooter Abhinav Bindra. Apart from this he has been in talks with Sriram Raghavan for the sequel of Badlapur and has apparently been recommended by cousin Arjun Kapoor to be a part of the film Farzi which shall be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

Although nothing is final and things are under wraps, speculations are rife that Harsh might end up signing the dotted lines of these films. Watch this space...
