The expectations were skyrocketting ever since Shah Rukh Khan's collaboration with Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand L Rai for Zero was first announced. However, Shah Rukh's ambitious project didn't live up to the expectations of the fans as well as the critics. Zero was panned left, right and centre and a lot of the netizens as well as the critics, blamed Aanand L Rai for the debacle of Zero.
Now, soon after the release of the film, speculations about all not being well between Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L Rai started doing the rounds. A recent report on BollywoodHungama suggested that much like others, Shah Rukh too blamed Rai for the fate of Zero at the box office. The report quoted a source as saying, "Shah Rukh blames Rai entirely for the fiasco that was Zero. What was Aanand Rai thinking? This is what Shah Rukh now wonders, like everybody else.” In fact, the report went on to add that Shah Rukh has apparently stopped taking Rai's phone calls.
But looks like that isn't exactly the case. Why do we say so? Well, while rumours about there being a tiff between Shah Rukh and Rai are rife, a report on TOI says that there's no truth to them. The report quoted an industry insider as saying, "There is no truth to this, all is well between Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L. Rai after ‘Zero’ release.”
Well, we hope all's good in the 'hood!
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh seems to be on a break, contemplating what his next project should be. Watch this space.
