Karishma is also happy with her role in Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor's Sanjay Dutt biopic.

As Karishma Tanna checked into her hotel in Jaipur on Thursday morning, she had a surprise waiting. Colourful bangles, flowers and a hand-written note expressing admiration and love for the actress. The actress was flattered but not completely surprised.

This fan ensures each of her visits to the Pink City is special

“Whenever I am in Jaipur, this fan of mine sends me flowers and gifts, which makes me really happy. This time too, she made my day by sending me bangles, a bouquet and a letter. I don’t know how she gets to know my whereabouts,” Tanna told AFTERhrs over the phone. The actress is in the city for a private event. The fan is a Jaipur girl, Yamini Jain, who handles the fan account @Karishmatanna_fc on Instagram.

No time to buy jewellery

The Naagin 3 actress loves buying jewellery from Jaipur. “I just love shopping in Jaipur. Whenever I come here, I make sure to buy some jewellery but this time I really don’t have time else I would have gone to market for shopping,” said Tanna. “I also wanted to buy some bedsheets and jholas; I really like those embroidered jholas that you get here,” she added.

Back in the game

The actress has made a comeback on the small screen with two shows Qayamat Ki Raat and Naagin 3 both are in the top 10 shows on TV terms of TRP.

"I am really happy that both my shows are doing really well; it feels like I have finally arrived in the game. I was not doing any show earlier since I didn’t want to do daily soaps. These are kind of series that are telecast on weekends," asserted Tanna.

"Naagin has its loyal fan base, it’s a two-year-old concept. But Qayamat Ki Raat has just begun and it has crossed 2.3 points in TRP in a week; it’s just amazing. We were really scared because it has a 7 pm slot and we were wondering if people will watch it. But they just loved the show," she added.

Felt some natural powers

The storyline of Tanna’s new show, Qayamat Ki Raat revolves around supernatural powers. Quizzed about encountering any such thing in real life, she replied, "I don’t believe in ghosts or something but I believe there are evil powers around. I have had my few experiences; I have heard sounds and vibrations in my house and once felt a strong wind blew my hair in my makeup room but I take it naturally. I prefer not to react to it because I know they exist."

Happy for RK and Raju

The actress was also part of the film Sanju, which has crossed Rs 100 crore in three days. "Though I have a really small and funny role in Sanju, I am really happy for its success and for RK (Ranbir Kapoor) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) sir. I am glad that I got to work with Raju sir and RK,” Tanna added, before signing off.
