Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa Sikdar took to Facebook soon after the Mumbai rains and thanked her late husband. She wrote the post thanking her husband for connecting back with her through the rains and stated that it touched her body and soul.

"Thank you soooo much I hear you ...yes I know it's from you to me and it touched my body and soul.. Between the two realms we have the rain connecting us..," wrote Sutapa while sharing throwback images of Irrfan alongside a video.

Sutapa had previously mentioned, “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.” It’s just a matter of time...milenge baaten karenge.... Till we meet again.”

Apart from Sutapa, Irrfan's son Babil shares throwback photos of his father every now-and-then. Irrfan died of colon infection on April 29, 2020. The actor was being treated for cancer since a long time and had worked on a movie 'Angrezi Medium' after his return to India from UK. The movie was co-incidentally also one of the last theatrical releases before the lockdown was implemented.
