Actors Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan were spotted on the streets of Mumbai late night on June 29 while shooting the last leg of their upcoming film Sui Dhaaga: Made In India.
This Yash raj film will introduce Anushka as Mamta, and Varun as Mauji. The duo dressed up as their characters were shooting for an intense sequence in the midst of a huge mob, gathered to see the superstars.
During the filming of the sequence, Anushka was wrapped in a simple pink, floral saree. She was also carrying two bags, while Varun was casually dressed in a checkered shirt and blue trousers.
Sui Dhaaga has been in the news since its inception, and fans of the two actors have been continuously keeping an eye on each activity of the two stars.
Months ago, Anushka and Varun were spotted at the film's sets in Bhopal and Delhi and their pictures from the sets had got everyone intrigued. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are teaming up for the first time for this film and also give a sneak peek on their film on social media.
Just a few days ago, Varun shared a video with Anushka, where the two are relishing a bhutta.
Set in small town India, Sui Dhaaga will see Varun playing a tailor and Anushka an embroiderer. For their roles of Mamta and Mauji, both of them learnt to sew and embroider.
Sui Dhaaga is reportedly based on 'Make in India' campaign launched by the Indian government in 2014, which was aimed at promoting the country's indigenous textile industries.
Earlier, in an interview with IANS, Varun talked about his character in the film saying, "I read a lot of biographies. I've read one on Dev Anand. I love reading Suppandi. I used to read that a lot during my childhood. Even the characters I do, like right now I am playing this character of a tailor Mauji in Sui Dhaaga. There is more to him than just being a tailor as he is a peon in a shop as well. Mauji is very inspired by Suppandi."
Directed and written by Sharat Katariya, Sui Dhaaga is going to hit the theatres on September 28th.
