Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are all set to team up after many years in the latter's upcoming directorial titled Inshallah. The movie stars Alia Bhatt as the female lead and will go on floors soon. It's set to be a love story and fans wait to see the magic of Salman and SLB on the big screen yet again. This is the first time we will see Alia in a Bhansali film and her first with Salman as well.
Recently, during an interaction with Bombay Times, Salman was asked about the reason for taking so long to work with Sanjay again. To which he stated, "Sanjay and I were always in touch in all these years. He always came and told me what he was making. I just wished him well on all those occasions. If he wanted me to work in any of those films, he would have told me, like he did when he wanted me in that part in Saawariya (2007). In some cases, he just thought I didn’t fit those characters and sometimes the dates didn’t match."
He added, "This time when he came, he said either you do this film or I am not making it. A lot of people have said similar things to me and made a film the very next week with someone else. But I know Sanjay is not that person. Sanjay came to me with another film which I quite liked as well. He said we will do this later, but I am keen on making a love story and you have also not done a beautiful love story in a long time. So, then I heard the love story. Wakai mein beautiful hai. In the narration, I knew where it was headed and at interval point, I told him I am doing it."
Inshallah is likely to hit the screens during Eid weekend in 2020.
