Irrfan Khan's last film 'The Song of Scorpions' to release in 2021

Irrfan Khan's swansong also stars Golshifteh Farahani as the female lead.

Irrfan Khan's swansong (final film) The Song of Scorpions has finally been officially announced. Presented by Panorama Spotlight and 70mm Talkies, the film is directed by Anup Singh and also stars Golshifteh Farahani as the female lead. The announcement was made with a message which read as "a golden chance to witness the magician on the big screen for the last time!!!" past which a portrait of Irrfan is showcased in the video.

The message is played in the backdrop of a desert, which showcases a blow of wind post which Khan's face close up is shown followed by the announcement of the film release Early 2021 is displayed. Yes, The Song of Scorpions is slated to release in 2021 and the final release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers.

Abhishek Pathak, the producer and the director at Panorama Spotlight in a statement spoke about the film by stating, "The Song of Scorpions is a special story and it is truly an honour for us to present Irrfan Khan's final performance in it. We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess and we're happy to have canvassed his swansong."

The film revolves around an independent young tribal woman, who tries to overcome a brutal betrayal to find her voice. One of the prime highlights of the upcoming film is that the actor will be seen in a memorable role.
