Every film Shah Rukh Khan does is highly anticipated by cinegoers. But what makes Zero one of the most eagerly awaited releases of 2018 is that he plays a dwarf in this Aanand L Rai directorial. While previously, the superstar has had other films releasing on the same day as this, on December 21, he will have a three-way clash. Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film Mauli and Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron’s next, Alita: Battle Angel are also scheduled to open in cinemas on the same day.
“Incidentally, this time around, there is no other Hindi film releasing with Shah Rukh’s,” says our source, adding, “Mauli is an action-comedy and is expected to work in the Maharashtra belt, whereas Alita... is a cyberpunk action flick and may pose some competition in a few centers. But overall, SRK doesn’t need to worry as these films might not be able to dent Zero’s collections to a considerable extent.”
