Ever since Arbaaz Khan announced Dabangg 3 (D3), there has been a lot of conjecture about its plot, leading ladies and release date. While sources claim that the makers plan to release it this December, the film’s leading heroine Sonakshi Sinha told this paper that D3 will go on floors around June.
IN FLASHBACK MODE
The movie also stars television actress Mouni Roy and of late, speculations have been rife that she has a bigger role than Sona in the Salman Khan-starrer. But that’s not true. Our source tells us, “Both the actresses have small roles in the flick. Mouni only has a special appearance, with screen time of just about 15-20 minutes.” The third instalment of the hit franchise is more like a prequel and traces Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey’s journey as the Robinhood of his area. “This is where Mouni’s character comes in,” adds the source, “She will play one of Chulbul’s previous romantic interests who appears in the flashback scenes, while Sonakshi will reprise her role as Rajjo.”
SPECIAL APPEARANCES GALORE
Though Mouni is on a roll with three big Bollywood projects — Akshay Kumar’s Gold, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra and D3 — apparently, she only has cameos in all of them. Despite playing the negative lead in Brahmastra, reportedly, her screen time is limited. Looks like the Naagin actress will have to wait for a plum part in Bollywood!
