Janhvi Kapoor was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai after severe food poisoning on Thursday. She had returned to Mumbai from Chennai on Tuesday, and she wasn't feeling well, she cancelled all her appointments for Wednesday. Now, the actress has been discharged and is doing much better. Her father and prdoucer Boney Kapoor confirmed the news.
Boney Kapoor spoke to Zoom, "She was discharged this morning. She is much better now." The report also stated that her father, sister and The Archies actress Khushi Kapoor, and boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya looked after the Bawaal actress for the entire time she was hospitalised.
Now, Janhvi will restart the promotions of her upcoming film Ulajh. The espionage thriller also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain in the pivotal roles and is helmed by the National Award-winning director Sudhanshu Saria. Ulajh will release in cinemas on August 2.
The Janhvi Kapoor-starrer will clash at the box office with the romantic drama Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The Neeraj Pandey directorial is headlined by Ajay Devgn and Tabu, and also features Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar in the supporting roles. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was initially slated to release on July 5, but was postponed on request of the film exhibitors and film distributors.
After Ulajh, Janhvi Kapoor will make her debut in Telugu cinema in Devara: Part 1. The action drama is headlined by Jr NTR and also features Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film will release in cinemas worldwide on September 27 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Devara: Part 1 was initially slated to release on April 5 but was postponed to October 10, before being pushed ahead to September 27.
