Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding on Friday, July 12, saw multiple international celebrities in attendance. American actor and professional wrestler John Cena was also among one of them. He looked dapper in a blue sherwani and was also seen dancing to the dhol beats in the baraat's procession. He mixed his signature style of 'You Can't See Me' with bhangra in the viral videos.
A day after the wedding on Saturday, July 13, John took to his X (previously known as Twitter) account to thank the Ambani family for their hospitality as he shared a photo with Shah Rukh Khan from the wedding ceremony. "A surreal 24 hours. So grateful for the Ambani family for their unmatched warmth and hospitality. An experience filled with so many unforgettable moments which allowed me to connect with countless new friends, including meeting @iamsrk and being able to tell him personally the positive effect he has had on my life."
Reacting to John Cena and Shah Rukh's photo, fans of the superstar couldn't keep their calm. One of them wrote, "You are not alone in the boat @JohnCena sir, #SRK has made a positive impact in so many of our lives! His movies are just a medium through which we get to see him on the big screen and celebrate him. Even without the movies,we will forever be his cheerleaders, forever indebted 2 him", while another wrote, "Countless Indian celebs were present but John Cena chose to post a pic with @iamsrk only and wrote that SRK has inspired him in some ways. We are in an era where others are failing to cross SRK’s box office numbers and global influence."
After the grand wedding ceremony, the Ambani family hosted a Shubh Aashirwad ceremony on Saturday, July 13. This will be followed by a reception on July 14. Before the wedding festivities, there were two pre-wedding festivities also held in Jamnagar in March and in Italy and France in June.
