As for 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo',  the film also stars Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor and marks Neetu’s first film after 'Besharam', which was released in 2013. In ‘Besharam’, Neetu was seen opposite her husband, late actor Rishi Kapoor, and son Ranbir Kapoor.

The shooting of the film 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' started in November last year. However, after Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan had contracted COVID-19, the shoot of the film was put on hold.

In November 2020, upon her return to a film set after a long time, Neetu Kapoor had also posted a picture of herself getting ready on the first day of the shoot.
