Kangana Ranaut mercilessly trolled for 'soft porn star' barb at Urmila Matondkar; comparing office demolition to 'rape'

Kangana Ranaut said that she felt she was almost "raped" when the Shiv Sena barged into her office space and demolished it.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who on Wednesday said that she felt she was almost "raped" when the Shiv Sena barged into her office space and demolished it and called actor Urmila Matondkar a "soft porn star", is being massively trolled for her remarks. 

On Thursday, netizens started trending #ShutUpKangana for her insensitive and derogatory remarks. One user wrote, "Yes Nepotism is bad. But this woman is dangerous to Feminism as well. Don't let this lady be the face of Feminism and defame it. She is just a hypocrite and opportunist, forget Nationalist."

While another wrote, "Shame on you @KanganaTeam you are such a disgusting lady. How can you say that to a other girl. You want respect for yourself but what about others??"

People on social media were visibly angry with her comments. 

Some users also pointed out Urmila's films that she worked in over a while. One user wrote, "Dear @KanganaTeam have ever watched 'Ek Hasina Thi', 'Jungle' 'Rangeela' or 'bhoot'??? @UrmilaMatondkar is not only a better actor but a far more better human being than u. u r nothing but trash.#UrmilaMatondkar it's wrong 2 use #kangnapagalhai cause u r not crazy but dangerous."

Apart from fans, some people from Bollywood also stood in solidarity with Urmila. Actor Swara Bhasker tweeted words of appreciation for Urmila and wrote, "Dear @UrmilaMatondkar ji, remembering ur outstanding performances in Masoom, Chamatkaar, Rangeela, Judaai, Daud, Satya, Bhoot, Kaun, Jungle, Pyaar Tuney Kya Kiya, Tehzeeb, Pinjar, Ek Hasina Thi.. among others and have marvelled at your acting chops & brilliant dancing! Love u."

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha wrote, "Just felt like saying this to one of the most beautiful, elegant, evocative, expressive actresses ever. Sending you love @UrmilaMatondkar." Urmila commented on his post, thanking him. Designer Farah Khan Ali wrote, "Class does not rave and rant. It shines through. @UrmilaMatondkar #JayaBachchan @ReallySwara @taapsee @SonuSood @dreamgirlhema You guys Shine BRIGHT."
