Kangana Ranaut's performance in her 2014 film Queen is considered as one of her best works ever. The talented actor went on to win several accolades including National Film Award for Best Actress that year. In the film, Kangana played the role of a young woman whose fiance leaves her just a day before her wedding and she decides to go on her honeymoon alone. Queen was directed by Vikas Bahl and it brought Kangana back in the game.
In a recent interview, Kangana opened up about the success of Queen and she also said that other actors thought the script of the film was lame. The actor stated, "Whoever read Queen’s script before, they said it was the lamest script they’d ever seen." Along with Kangana, the film also starred Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon in pivotal roles and even their characters left a lasting impact.
When asked about her experience of working in Queen, Kangana further said, "Queen was a big party for everyone. The director was a very big producer. He didn’t want anyone to stress over it and wanted everyone to have fun. The process was very unusual and very different from any other set I've been on."
The talented actress added, "It turned out to be very good, but it could've gone the other way as well and the director was prepared for it. It was a small-budget film and nothing was at stake from his end, and even I had nothing to lose as I had no career left."
