The fans of Ranveer Singh have another reason to celebrate. While we are still not done swooning over his wedding pictures, we will soon get to see him on the big screen. The much-awaited trailer of 'Simmba', helmed by director Rohit Shetty, will be out on December 3.
While announcing the trailer release date, Karan Johar also shared an emotional video in which Ranveer is seen praising and thanking his director in a wrap-up speech. This was the first time when the two of them came together.
In the video, Ranveer says, “My experience has been thousands times more than what I had expected. I’ve never had such a blast making a movie in all the years that I’ve been working. The things that I learnt are the things that I’ll carry forward for the rest of my life, and it’s been cultivated and nurtured by sir (Rohit Shetty). When the hard work of all of us comes together, a film like Simmba is made, which according to me will be a blockbuster." The video was first shared by Ranveer on his Instagram page.
As soon as Karan Johar declared the trailer release date of 'Simmba' on Twitter, best wishes started pouring in. However, Shah Rukh Khan fans seemed a tad upset with Karan for releasing 'Simmba' just a week after 'Zero', and hence not giving the latter a free window at the theatres. Several users commented on the Tweet with snakes, as they accused him of betraying his best friend.
Simba revolves around a powerful corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao who mends his ways after falling in love with a simple girl. The movie stars the energetic and recently hitched Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. The latter is all set to make her acting debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s 'Kedarnath' opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
