Kareena Kapoor's elder son Taimur and his nanny Lalita DSilva are very popular on the internet. Several reports state that Lalita earns more than many top CEOs. However, there has not been a concrete report about her salary. Recently, Lalita broke the silence over the reports about her salary.

In an interview with Hindi Rush, when asked if she has a monthly salary of Rs 2.5 lakhs, Lalita laughed at 'rumours', and said, "Rs 2.5 lakh? I wish. Aapke mooh mein ghee shakkar. These are all rumours.” In the same interview, she even praised Kareena and her family for being 'simple people', who share the same food with the staff. Lalita revealed that there is no different food cooked for the staff. She said, "They are such simple people. The morning routine is such that the staff, Kareena, and Saif all eat the same food. There’s no such thing that there will separate food for the staff. Same food and same quality. So many times we have all eaten together."

In another interview with Express Adda, Kareena said, "My boys’ nannies are eating with them because that’s just the way both Saif and I have addressed it because Taimur has asked and Jeh is already asking, ‘Why are you sitting there? Sit here’.”
