Katrina Kaif was a pleasant surprise at Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh's wedding reception

When Deepika Padukone and Ranveer's wedding made headlines last year, Katrina Kaif's presence at their wedding reception hosted in Mumbai raised eyebrows. Some counted it as Katrina's warm gesture post break-up with Ranbir Kapoor while others were speculating a cold vibe between the actresses.

The exes of Ranbir Kapoor however have surely sort out their differences. We can say this since not onyl did Katrina attend the wedding reception, but the two actresses also shared a warm hug at an awards show in the same month.

Katrina was a guest at a chat show, where she was asked what exactly probed her to attend the wedding reception. The question said, "Was attending Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's wedding reception a part of easying up with people around (in this case, Deepika)?"

Katrina replied to the question by stating, "It was literally as simple as this - I received the invite and Ranveer also messaged saying you know you gotta come you gotta come be apart of this. I thought it was very sweet and I felt like going."

Kaif was also best friends with Alia Bhatt before the latter started dating her ex-boyfriend Ranbir. Speaking about the same, she said, "Alia was part of our friends circle - Ayan, me and a group of us. She still hadn't started Student Of The Year and Ayan introduced us to her saying, 'This is Alia, she's going to do a film with Karan. They'll be starting Student Of The Year.'  We had a nice, warm equation and when she started coming to train with Yasmin, that's when we started seeing each other more. We would train together. Honestly, a few days I analyzed the situation. I didn't want to respond with pre-conceived notions which we set in our heads. I then came to the conclusion that when we were dating, it wasn't relevant for the equation I shared with her, so why should that equation change?"
