Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath has maintained its hold at the ticket windows in the first week of its release. The Abhishek Kapoor directorial has managed to rake in a total of Rs 42.45 crore at the box office which is quite satisfactory.
Kedarnath, which marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara, opened to Rs 7.25 crore on Friday. The movie has been riding on a postive word of mouth which helped it to witness an increae in its collections, despite mixed reviews from the critics.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office figures of the film. He wrote, "#Kedarnath showed strong trending on weekdays... North circuits performed very well... Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 10.75 cr, Mon 4.25 cr, Tue 3.75 cr, Wed 3.50 cr, Thu 3.20 cr. Total: ₹ 42.45 cr [1900 screens]. India biz."
Kedarnath is facing quite a strong competition at the ticket windows as the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer sci-fi film 2.0 is still going pretty strong at the box office. Despite that, Kedarnath has another week to go before Shah Rukh Khan's Zero hits the theatres on December 21.
