The wait was worth it as the trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming film Kedarnath which released on Monday, is nothing short of stunning!
In the three minute long trailer, one will experience a range of emotions from love and awe to anger and sadness.
In the film, Sushant essays the role of a cheerful and hard-working Muslim pithoo (porter) who carries the devotees on his back to the Kedarnath shrine for livelihood, while Sara essays the role of a bubbly Hindu devotee who falls in love with her bearer.
But what will be intriguing to see is how love blossoms between them, gets hit by caste barriers and eventually gets tangled with the devastating Uttarakhand floods that hit the state in 2013.
But as far as the trailer is concerned- it is mid-blowing with picturesque locales of the state and powerful visuals of the tragedy as water comes gushing down from all sides, destroying everything that comes in its way.
While we are impressed by Sushant Singh Rajput's acting chops, it is Sara Ali Khan's performance that stands out.
The actress, who will mark her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath, reminds us so much of her mother Amrita Singh.
Sara, in the gripping trailer, looks like she has been in the industry for a while and has been a part of a couple of films already!
In fact the film's producer Ronnie Screwvala, after seeing the first cut wondered if Sara is already five films old!

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the Kedarnath goes with the tagline ‘Love is pilgrimage’ and mainly revolves around the 14 kilometre-long journey from Gauri Kund to the Kedarnath shrine.
The teaser of the film which released a few days ago, put a pause to the speculations around the release of the film, and with the trailer's release, a full stop has been put now.
The makers of the film have also released the first song ‘Namo Namo’ which is an audio and visual delight.

Kedarnath was originally scheduled to release in June this year, but will now hit the theatres on December 7.
