'Kerala, Kerala, Don't worry Kerala' - AR Rahman's message to floods victims

At a concert in California, Rahman altered the lyrics of his song 'Mustafa'

Tunes composed by legendary composer AR Rahman have brought joy and comfort to people in more ways than one. This time, the music maestro is assuring the victims of Kerala Floods by altering the lyrics of his song 'Mustafa Mustafa.'

Millions have been uprooted from their routine lives owing to the natural calamity that has almost drowned the state of Kerala. Rescue and rehabilitation work is still going on and will need support and financial aid to rebuild what was lost to the river and ocean.

Mozart of Madras did his bit to encourage these rescue workers and those who are in camps, also the Indian diaspora that is spread across the globe and physically help out their countrymen. During his concert in California, Rahman changed the lyrics of 'Mustafa Mustafa' to Don't worry Kerala.'

The disaster has claimed nearly 400 lives. Almost 10 lakh people have been displaced and living in over 5000 relief camps across Kerala.

The central government has committed Rs 600 cr in interim relief so far. Donations from other state governments, corporate organisations, movie and TV celebs, sportspersons, and individual commoners are pouring in as well.
