Akshay Kumar has been in news since morning since the first poster of Sooryavanshi was unveiled

Akshay Kumar was in news for his upcoming film from Rohit Shetty's cop franchise Sooryavanshi after the first poster of the film released early in the morning, also announcing the release date of the film. The actor now features in Kesari's new song 'Ajj Singh Garjega'.

The song begins with Akshay's turban shot when he narrates what Kesari actually means. He says Kesari 'bahaduri ka rang hai, shaheedi ka', while the focus is on his 'Kesari' turban. The fighter can then be seen getting into the warfield, killing all enemies. His weapons - the sword with Sikh logo, and kada-type weapon - are then in focus. Akshay however is not the only 'Singh' (as the song calls it) who is brave enough to kill the enemies come what may. The song once again ends with the epic killing with a burning sword.

If some reports are to be believed, then Akshay has also hummed a few lines of the song. The actor posted a video of him taking the mic for the song, but that appeared to be a tease of sorts. However sources claim that he has sung a few lines of the song. The actor's voice could be recognized in certain moments of the song.

The film directed by Anurag Singh is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought against 10,000 Afghans. 'Ajj Singh Garjega' is touted to be an inspiring and patriotic number. The song is penned by Kunwar Juneja, composed by Chirrantan Bhatt and rendered by Jazzy B, is all set to release today. Kesari, presented by Zee Studios in association with Dharma Productions, Cape Of Good Films and Azure Entertainment and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, releases on March 21.
