The makers of 'Kick 2' have dropped in the release date for the sequel

Salman Khan's Kick became his first film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark and he has never looked back ever since. Kick was a brilliantly entertaining masala Hindi film. Ever since it released, the fans have been waiting for a sequel. And now adding to the excitement, the makers of Kick 2 have dropped in the release date for the sequel.

Salman is all set to return in his devil avatar in Kick 2, which will release in Christmas 2019. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the same and wrote, “Here comes the BIGGG announcement... Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala join hands for #Kick2... Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala... Christmas 2019 release... #DevilIsBack”

Moreover, from what we hear, Salman might have a double role in the film. As per a source, "There are two way the team can bring in a double role. Either it will be Salman versus Salman, the good Salman fighting the bad Salman. Or it will be like the original Telugu sequel where the film takes a 20 years leap and the lead character seems to have a son who looks exactly like him."

The 2014 film featured Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles. Well, we will have to see if any of these actors will be on board for the sequel too.

Meanwhile, Salman who was last seen in Tiger Zinda Hai alongside Katrina Kaif, has Bharat, Dabangg 3 and a dance film with Remo D'Souza in the pipeline.
