The latest episode of 'Koffee With Karan 6' saw Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor talking about the late Bollywood superstar and their mother, Sridevi like never before.
When host Karan Johar brought up the topic of Sridevi's tragic demise and mentioned how Arjun was a constant source of strength to the family, Arjun said, “A moment changes everything, I have been through that moment, I wouldn't wish it for my worst enemy. I and Anshula did everything out of pure honesty knowing. Because we knew that we would have needed somebody at that time. We couldn't have that but that doesn't mean Janhvi and Khushi shouldn't. My mother would have wanted that. If she was alive that's the first thing she should've said is, 'Go be there'. Don't hold any grudges; your life is too short.”
Arjun revealed that he did speak to his sister Anshula before taking any decision, though. “It took me a lot of courage to ask Anshula, 'I think this is the right thing, what do you feel?' It was 2 am in the morning and when I told her, the first thing she asked was, "Where are the girls?"
It's almost an open secret that Arjun and Sridevi never shared a very warm relationship with each other. But, he chose to keep all that aside when the news of her death broke. Not did he just leave his film's shoot to be with his family but he also flew off to Dubai along with his father to complete the legal formalities of bringing her mortal remains, back.
The actor got lauded both by the film fraternity and his fans for standing rock-solid with his half-sisters - Janhvi and Khushi after their mother's death.
