Bhumi Pednekar is one of the most talented actresses in B-Town. Recently, she graced Karan Johar's popular chat show, Koffee With Karan 6, along with Rajkummar Rao. During the course of their conversation, Karan Johar mentioned how there's no buzz about Bhumi's personal life whatsoever. He even added that all his research has gone in vain as even her friends call her a good girl.
Karan further added that some of her friends shared that "Bhumi is a good girl in Bombay but a bad girl when she travels." Post that, Karan went on to share an anecdote when both of them were in Berlin for the Berlin Film Festival and how Bhumi took him to an Indian dhaba in Berlin and crushed his desire to have Japanese cuisine at a Michelin star restaurant.
Sharing the incident, Karan said, "Bhumi and I were hanging out with each other. We're having a great time, we went shopping and everything and finally she says, 'You've got to come to this place. It's a heritage restaurant. It's the oldest restaurant in Berlin. 100-year-old restaurant.' She had done all her research and everything on it and she got me so excited, and I was part of a conference. I was rushing out, I said, 'We have to go and have lunch.' And we've reached this restaurant and when I walked in, it didn't look as heritage as she made it sound. And I go, and I see a very solemn looking Bhumi, after all this build up."
He went on, "I sit in this table and one man comes and says in Hindi, 'Kya khana hai tujhe?', and I'm like, where the hell have we reached?" He added, "Just because you do these parts in movies, you brought me even in Berlin to a pind?"
At this point, unable to control her laughter, Bhumi said, "Karan was shocked. And Karan was like 'Bhumi, in Berlin you'be got me to a Dhaba?'". She further shared, "He's like, 'We'll go to a Michelin star restaurant and we'll go eat Japanese' and I was like, 'Karan, this restaurant....' and you know my research was basically the man who was driving Karan."
So turns out that the man who was driving KJo around suggested his friend's restaurant to Bhumi and she took Karan out for lunch there. Quite an adventure for KJo!
