Luka Chuppi has generated a lot of curiosity; the music has been topping the charts and the trailer made a huge splash on social media, too. Though the makers have successfully kept the key plot-points under wraps, the one thing that the Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon-starrer hints at, is the crazy concept of ‘living in’ with one’s family.
The romantic comedy follows the journey of Guddu and Rashmi, two small-town lovers, who wish to live in rather than jump into matrimony. They are, ironically, forced to pose as a married couple. Things go hilariously awry as their big fat family ends up moving in with them, and they indirectly end up in a ‘live-in’ with their khandaan. This unique idea has hooked the audiences, who are keen to know about the couple’s fate. Do they tie the knot? Do their families find out the truth? Can you live in with your family? You can find the answers to all your questions when you catch up with the pair and enter their quirky world at a theatre near you.
Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan, who is presenting the film, says, “Guddu and Rashmi’s journey is a fun, adorable and quirky ride. Audiences will take these characters home when they leave the theatre, as they are refreshingly real and will touch many hearts.”
The Laxman Utekar directorial also features Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles. If the buzz surrounding the movie is anything to go by, the box office may have another winner in this romcom.
Dinesh Vijan presents Luka Chuppi, a Maddock Films production in association with Jio Studios, which releases today.
