Veteran actor Anupam Kher is without doubt one of the finest talents in Indian entertainment industry and he has been entertaining millions of fans for the last three decades through his flawless acting. Anupam Kher has played a varieties of roles in his illustrious career and he has proven his talent in all kinds of roles. Anupam Kher is happily married to actress and BJP MP Kirron Kher for the past 38 years but Kirron Kher is not Anupam Kher’s first wife. On the other hand, Kirron Kher’s first husband was Gautam Berry but her marriage with Gautam Berry ended after six years. Kirron Kher and Gautam Berry have a son together Sikander Kher. Kirron Kher separated from Gautam Berry in 1985.
Anupam Kher had been married to actress Madhumalti Kapoor before the two parted ways after less than a year. Anupam Kher got married to Madhumalti in 1979 but their marriage ended in the same year. Anupam and Madhumalti met each other while the two were studying at the National School of Drama (NSD). Anupam Kher and Madhumalti became good friends during their time at NSD.
According to reports, Anupam and Madhumalti’s marriage was an arranged thing and the two buckled under family pressure to tie the knot. Anupam Kher was reportedly against the idea of getting married to Madhumalti and this seems to be the reason why their marriage ended within a year.
Few years after parting ways with Madhumalti Kapoor, Anupam Kher met Kirron Kher and the two got married in 1985. On the other hand, Madhumalti married director Ranjit Kapoor. Madhumalti Kapoor is still active in Bollywood and she was last seen in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra.
