The actress we are talking about is the daughter of a Guinness world record-holding actor and has given hits with Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Sanjay Dutt, and others. She is now working on television shows and keeps impressing her fans with her fitness. She is none other than Anita Raj.
Anita Raj is the daughter of well-known actor Jagdish Raj, who holds a Guinness World Record for being the most type-cast actor. He played the role of a police inspector in 144 films. The actress made her grand Bollywood debut alongside Raj Babbar in Prem Geet and in her second film, the actress starred alongside Jeetendra and Rekha in Mehndi Rang Layegi.
After this, there was no looking back for the actress. She went on to star with many superstars like Jeetendra, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Dharmendra. In fact, the actress's pairing with Dharmendra was a hit and fans loved to see them together on screen. In 1984, Anita Raj worked in seven films, in 1985 she worked in 9 films and in 1986 and 1988, she worked in back-to-back 10 films. She enjoyed a huge fan following in the 80s.
However, in 1996, the actress left acting and later made a comeback only in 2007. After ruling in Bollywood, she is now ruling on television. The actress has starred in several hit and long-running television shows like Tumhari Pakhi, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Choti Sarrdaarni, Parineetii and is now winning hearts as Kaveri Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
She also has a connection to Sridevi. The actress shares her birthday with superstar Sridevi. They both worked in Bollywood during the same time and were even close friends. Anita Raj has worked in over 100 films and is now making her mark in television. She continues to inspire the audience with her fitness at the age of 61.
