Born as Aditya Prateek Sisodia in New Delhi on November 19, 1984, Badshah chose his stage name as he is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, who is fondly known as Badshah of Bollywood. From DJ Waley Babu and Wakhra Swag to She Move It Like and Jugnu, the singer-rapper has made multiple hits in Hindi and Punjabi languages.
Badshah has now achieved another milestone in his career as his song 'Kala Chashma' from the 2016 Hindi film Baar Baar Dekho has crossed 1 billion views on YouTube. Thus, he has become the first rapper in Asia to reach this figure solidifying his status as the undisputed king of Indian rap.
The energetic dance number 'Kala Chashma' was originally composed by Prem Hardeep & Kam Dhillon, and recreated by Badshah. Amar Arshi, Badshah, and Neha Kakkar have sung the track with lyrics by Amrik Singh and Kumaar. The track featured the film's leads Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in its video.
