When Sridevi was starting her career in films, Srilatha also used to go to the film sets along with her and from 1972 to 1993, Srilatha was seen on the sets of almost every film of Sridevi.

Sridevi, one of Bollywood’s biggest superstar ever, died in 2018, but she is still alive in the hearts of millions of people across the world through her films. Sridevi established herself as an actor in Bollywood in the 80s at a time when actresses like Hema Malini and Rekha were the first choice of Bollywood directors. During her illustrious career, Sridevi worked in more than 300 films. You might know many things about Sridevi’s professional life, but not many people know about her sister Srilatha. Sridevi and Srilatha once shared a very strong bond and there was a lot of love among the two sisters but later something happened between the two sisters that turned their relationship very bitter.

When Sridevi was starting her career in films, Srilatha also used to go to the film sets along with her and from 1972 to 1993, Srilatha was seen on the sets of almost every film of Sridevi. Srilatha also wanted to become an actress like Sridevi but she failed to taste success and then became Sridevi's manager.

According to reports, differences between the two sisters cropped up after the death of their mother. Actually, Sridevi’s ailing mother was once admitted to a hospital for an operation and the doctor at the hospital did this operation wrong, after which Sridevi’s mother lost her memory and she died in 1996. This forced Sridevi to file a case against the hospital.

Sridevi won the case against the hospital and got about Rs 7.2 crore as compensation. It is said that Sridevi kept all the compensation amount with herself and this led to the bitterness in relationship between the two sisters. Srilatha then filed a case in the court against Sridevi to get her share of money and claimed that her mother's mental condition was not good and that’s why she transferred all her property to Sridevi. Srilatha won the case and got Rs 2 crore as her share. It is said that Boney Kapoor had also tried to reconcile the two sisters but after Sridevi's death, Srilatha was not seen in the prayer meet in Chennai.
