The star kid we are talking about recently made his debut and has won hearts with his performance. He was denied entry to his film’s screening despite being the hero. He is none other than Junaid Khan.

Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, is currently winning hearts with his performance in the Netflix film Maharaj. His performance is being immensely praised by the audience as well as the critics and he is simultaneously working on his other projects. The film’s director hailed the actor for his simplicity and recalled how he used to travel by auto to the film’s shoot.

In a conversation with India Today, Siddharth P Malhotra said, “I'll throw a party the day he (Junaid) has a tantrum. So, for one year he came to my house along with other cast for readings. His court scene and monologue required practice, which went on for a year at my place. It’s a tough role for a newcomer to do. So he went through a year of rigorous training with Sneha and me. Every time he used to come in an auto. Even my staff would ask ‘Ye Aamir Khan ka beta hai? (Is he Aamir Khan’s son?)’. He’s been a simple, great, honest, and very earnest guy.”

The filmmaker further recalled how they once had a screening for the film at YRF studios and as Junaid came in an auto, he was denied entry. He said, “The funny thing is we had a screening on June 13 at YRF. It was his grandmother’s birthday, and we were waiting for people to come out. So, we had half an hour when Jaideep and I were standing outside. Suddenly I got a call from Junaid saying, ‘Sir, ye log mujhe andar nahi ane de rahe hai (Sir, they are not letting me in)’. I asked who, to which he said ‘YRF security.’ I told him ‘tu hero hai film ka bolo security ko (you are the hero of the film, just tell the security.’ To which he said that the security isn’t believing it.”

He added, “I asked him to show the poster of the film, but Junaid said that security did not believe him. Then I had to go down and tell the security that he was the hero. They got confused because he arrived in an auto instead of a car. So, this is Junaid for you. He is just like his character Karsan Das Mulji. He's a common man, but he's a guy who has shown sincerity with his work.”

The filmmaker further added that Junaid is currently working on his third film and how he never calls the paps to click him outside a restaurant. He said, “You see many newcomers are spotted with their directors or producers and creating hype. Junaid, on the other hand, is none of them. He is currently on his third film. He shot one film and is almost in the middle of his third one.”

Junaid Khan essayed the role of Karsandas Mujli, a journalist alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari in Maharaj. The film though had a delayed release and was in legal trouble, however, upon release, the film received immense love from the audience.
