After the writer- producer shared her harrowing experience of being raped and brutalised by Alok Nath, several allegations of sexual misconduct against the actor have come to the fore

Alok Nath, has filed a defamation case against the female writer-producer who accused him of rape and sexual harassment.

While the actor, in an earlier statement, neither denied or agree with the accusations, with the help of his lawyer has now reportedly filed a defamation notice to the producer, who worked with him on the '90s TV series Tara

A defamation notice has been sent to the writer-producer and a criminal complaint has also been filed in Andheri court against her.

The actor's lawyer has said the allegations were an attempt to defame Alok Nath and tarnish his name.

"I believe that this all has been done only to defame him and nothing beyond that," he said.

Earlier, speaking to ANI, the lawyer had said, "It's easy to make these allegations. That too of an incident, which is alleged to have taken place 19 years back. Now, this by itself shows that the entire allegations are false on the face of it. A person will never wait on a period of 19 years to make the allegations. I believe that this all has been done only to defame his reputation and nothing beyond that."

On Monday night, after the writer- producer shared her harrowing experience of being raped and brutalised by the 'sanskaari' babuji almost two decades ago, several allegations of sexual misconduct against the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor, came to the fore.

Actress Sandhya Mridul also revealed her own story of allegedly being preyed upon on a set by a drunken Alok Nath.

Sandhya alleged that during an outdoor shoot, Alok Nath tried to enter her room forcibly, in an inebriated condition, and lunged at her screaming, "I want you... you are mine."

When the team returned to Mumbai, she heard that Nath spread false stories about her 'acting difficult' on the sets.

A woman who worked on the crew of the 1998 film Hum Saath Saath Hain also alleged that Nath had stripped in front of her on the set of the film.

"We were shooting for a night scene and I had taken a change of costumes to him. Once I handed him the clothes, he started stripping in front of me. I was taken aback, and tried to make my way out of the room as soon as possible. When I tried to run out, he grabbed my hand and manhandled me. I remember yanking my hand out of his grip and rushing out of the room," the woman recounted.

Actress Himani Shivpuri, who has worked with Alok Nath in several films and in television, also came out and revealed that the actor is an alcohol-fuelled split personality.
