The Tanushree Dutta- Nana Patekar row is ablaze, with evevry new input making it to the headlines.
Tanushree accused Nana Patekar of harassment on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss, and alleged that filmmaker Vivek agnihotri had misbehaved with her too.
The actress had raised the issue 10 years back as well, but only this time is it getting the due attention. Several Bollywood celebrities too have commented on the accusations made by Tanushree.
While some have supported her, others have chose to walk the diplomatic way, while some others are keeping mum.
Several other bollywood celebrities too, including Kangana Ranaut, Farhan Akhtar, Hansal Mehta, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Sonam Kapoor have supported Tanushree for speaking out and creating a #MeToo movement in Bollywood.
Joining the list of names is The Trip actress Sapna Pabbi.
Sapna in a long Instagram post talked about how women stay quiet about such incidents.
She also shared how she has often experienced what transpired with Tanushree Dutta, and that she is shocked that there are so many females who are witnessing something similar and are not doing anything about it.
The actress also said that she believes Tanushree Dutta in the caption along with the post.
It reads, "#ibelievetanushreedutta #hertoo These are my experiences, my thoughts, my opinions and my feelings. Just sharing."
Even Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput Kapoor shared a post on her Instagram stories and made it evident that she is on Tanushree's side.
She wrote, "#believeintanushree #hertoo This us my voice and my opinion on something I feel very strongly about- I've tried really hard to edit it nad ensure it's well written and diplomatic but it's not just happening. So here's the heart that I wear on my sleeve writing the words I feel for real.... I believe Tanushree- I feel thre's something were missing here. A point that we fail to acknowlege and own up to. Where were all the women when this was happenning?"
In the latest development in the case, Tanushree Dutta has received two lawsuits from Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri.
In a press statement, the actress said, "I have been slapped with two legal notices today. One from Nana Patekar and another from Vivek Agnihotri. This is the price you pay for speaking out against harassment, humiliation and injustice in India. Both Nana's and Vivek Agnihotri's teams are on a smear campaign against me by constructing outright lies and misinformation on social media platforms and other public platforms. Their supporters are coming ahead and weaving damming allegations against me."
