The couple’s plea reportedly states that Payal and Dicky had got married in 2010, after which their daughter suffered from a major illness.

Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee (who was last seen in Piku, 2015) and her husband Jayant Mukherjee have approached the Bombay High Court, seeking access to their comatose daughter Payal Sinha. In their petition, the two have sought the court’s urgent directive against their son-in-law Dicky Sinha and be permitted to visit and attend to Payal. Their contention is that they are not being allowed to see their 44-year-old daughter despite her medical condition and they are seeking the court’s order to get ‘physical custody to enable them to take care of her’.

The couple’s plea reportedly states that Payal and Dicky had got married in 2010, after which their daughter suffered from a major illness. She was admitted to a hospital where her parents took care of her. Payal has been in a state of coma since April 2017, and some months ago, Dicky allegedly got her discharged in a comatose state and is now getting her treated at his home in Khar, Mumbai. Moushumi and Jayant have also stated in their petition that since then, they haven’t been allowed to see or attend to Payal.

The hearing took place on Saturday. While the duo was unavailable for comment, a source privy to the development, tells us, “Dicky has reportedly been indifferent to Moushumi and Jayant’s pleas to meet their daughter. As far as Payal is concerned, Dicky can’t take any decisions on his own. All decisions have to be taken along with Moushumi and Jayant.”
