Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently made a comment on Kashmiri Pandit ethnic cleansing. He said, "30 yrs have passed. Let's say sorry & move on. It is like two friends who have a fallout but they love each other". The statement caused an uproar on Twitter. While a few demanded boycott on his film 'Shikara', other users stated that the movie is a must-watch.
Commenting on Vidhu Vinod Chopra's statement in a recent interview, Ashoke Pandit questioned, "It’s a matter of serious concern when a filmmaker who has made film on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus says that both the parties (Victims & terrorists) in Kashmir should hug and say sorry to each other and move on. Why should a victim apologize? To narrate a tragedy one cannot be an apologist."
