Recently, the NCB had also arrested South African national Agisialos Demetriades, brother of actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades in another drug case.

In the ongoing crackdown by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the agency has raided the residence of Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal on Monday. According to our sources, raids were conducted at 7 am today at three places in Mumbai, Andheri, Khar, and Bandra which includes Arjun Rampal's residence and office.

Recently, the NCB had also arrested South African national Agisialos Demetriades, brother of actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades in another drug case.

Former Dharma Productions employee Kshitij Prasad was also arrested in the same case earlier. Both Agisialos and Prasad were in touch with a Nigerian national arrested for the supply of cocaine in Mumbai.

Reportedly the agency had seized alprazolam tablets and hashish from Agisilaos Demetriades. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede had confirmed his arrest and has alleged that Agisilaos was in touch with other drug peddlers related to the case. The drug case in question is the same under which actor Rhea Chakraborty was arrested. The 'Jalebi' actress is currently out on bail and has been asked to appear before the police, and to not leave Mumbai, especially without notifying the police first.

The drugs case began as a parallel investigation after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's mysterious death on June 14, 2020.

NCB had previously arrested Sushant's last girlfriend Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, the late actor's former house manager Samuel Miranda, and staff head Dipesh Sawant. The agency had also arrested Kshitij Prasad, a former employee of Dharma 2.0, in the Bollywood drug nexus case. Apart from NCB, the CBI and ED were given the task to conduct their own investigation in Sushant's death case.
