NCB summons Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, others in Bollywood-drug nexus investigation

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday sent summons to Deepika Padukone, Rakulpreet Singh, Simone Khambata, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Namrata Shirodkar.

In a new development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and the alleged drug-nexus in Bollywood, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday sent summons to Deepika Padukone, Rakulpreet Singh, Simone Khambata, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Namrata Shirodkar, a total 8 people including Karishma Prakash and Shruti Modi. 

According to our sources, Shruti, Simone and Rakulpreet have been summoned for tomorrow, Deepika and Karishma for September 25, and Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor for Septemeber 26.

This comes after PTI reports from earlier today that the probe agency might summon Deepika Padukone soon if needed. 

In other news, actor Rhea Chakraborty, in her second request for bail after spending 14 days in judicial custody in a Mumbai jail, has alleged a witch-hunt against her by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). She also alleges that Sushant Singh Rajput "took advantage of those closest to him to sustain his drug habit".

On Wednesday, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also summoned television couple Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar. The couplereached the NCB office for interrogation. According to sources, Abigal and Sanam have also been named in the interrogation of Anuj Keshwani and Ankush Arenja during the NCB investigation. In this connection, the NCB team also raided two different targets today.

Meanwhile, as per ANI,  the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bollywood talent agency KWAN, Dhruv Chitgopekar, on Wednesday appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning in connection with a drug case related to the death of Sushant.

The NCB, which is probing the drug case linked to Sushant`s death investigation, had summoned Chitgopekar, Head Talent Manager Jaya Saha and Karishma to join the ongoing investigation on Tuesday. Karishma handles Deepika Padukone's account. The NCB has also summoned Shruti Modi, former business manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, to join the investigation as well. All four people have been asked to be present at the NCB office in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Shruti Modi had appeared before the NCB on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the NCB has arrested one person named Rahil Vishram with 1 kg fine Charas from Himachal Pradesh, which is of high grade and highly-priced in the black market and Rs 4.5 lakh cash was seized from him. Vishram is directly connected to the other peddlers accused in the drug case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the official said.
