Did you know? Sara Ali Khan has a direct connect with Rabindranath Tagore, who's credited to have written the National Anthem of India

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's darling daughter Sara Ali Khan is yet to make her Bollywood debut. While there's still time for her debut film Kedarnath along side Sushant Singh Rajput to hit the theatres, the young actress has become quite popular already, even before the release of her first film and despite not having a social media presence. On her 23rd birthday this August 12, her fans broke the Internet when they started trending the hashtag #SaraAliKhanOnSocialMedia, urging her to join the world of social networking.

While speculations were rife whether Sara will finally make her social media debut on her birthday, turns out that the younf actress chose not hers but the Nation's birthday to join Instagram. After an undying demand from her fans to have her on social media, Sara Ali Khan finally made her debut on the photo-sharing site on Independence Day, i.e., August 15, 2018 with a special post.

Her first post is a visual rendition of the national anthem of India along with a pop art image of Its author Rabindranath Tagore. Interestingly the Nobel Prize winning poet, who wrote India’s national anthem happens to be her direct ancestor from her father's side.

She took to her Instagram handle to share a few lines of the National anthem and wrote, “Happy Independence Day #merabharatmahan #proudtobeindian ”

It was a thoughtful gesture by the 23-year old to not launch her Instagram account on her own birthday which was only a couple of days back, but instead on such an important day in the history for every Indian. It is something that every Indian would be extremely proud of.
