Aditya Roy Kapur is back to working with Mohit Suri. After Malang, the actor has now been roped in for Ek Villain 2. Neither Sidharth nor Riteish Deshmukh from the original film, Ek Villain, are being repeated for the sequel of the movie. John Abraham, however, joins Aditya in the project.

Mumbai Mirror reported the same stating Ek Villain 2 is not a sequel but a new story, but John and Aditya's characters, much like Ek Villain, will be pitted against each other. “It will also have an intense love story at its core,” a source told the daily, also mentioning that one of the top actresses is being signed for the movie.

Talking about John and Aditya signing the dotted line, the source revealed, “Both John and Adi had heard Mohit’s idea a while ago and were excited to come on board as the premise is something both haven’t explored before. The final narration took place recently, following which the two actors signed the film.”

The music will also be the USP of Ek Villain 2, mentioned the source, adding that Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Mohit Suri are finalizing the songs for their album. Mohit is expected to go on Ek Villain 2 recce post the release of Malang. He might also search for a supporting cast during that period.
