Sanjay Dutt’s life has been nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. Rajkumar Hirani was fascinated to such a degree with the various tales, which the actor narrated to him, that he decided to make a film on it. Sanju, which released on June 29, had Ranbir Kapoor stepping into Dutt’s shoes. The film has raked in Rs 330.65 cr until Sunday. However, due to the runtime that a movie can have, Hirani had to pick and choose the parts that he wanted to highlight, leaving out huge chunks. And looking at the response that the ‘biopic’ has garnered, it’s obvious that the junta definitely wants to know more about the Munnabhai actor.
Since the curiosity about Sanjay’s life remains unabated, an international digital streaming platform has reached out to the actor’s production house to make a three-part show on his life. Says a source, “With the movie, people got a glimpse into the journey that Sanju has had. The idea behind the web series is to make a show on a big scale, which will give an insight into the more hard-hitting aspects of his life. It can bring into focus the nuanced details of everything that actually went into making him the Sanjay Dutt that we see today.”
