Earlier in the day DNA broke the news about how it’s an emotionally charged day at Vishesh Films office as the cast of Sadak 2- Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur get ready to shoot their very first film together under the watchful eye of the film’s director, Mahesh Bhatt.
The master storyteller, who had bid adieu to his career as a filmmaker, has returned from his hiatus to helm this project.
Alia Bhatt, who for the first time will be directed by father Mahesh, shared a heart-warming post on Twitter announcing the sequel to Sadak.
In a note to her father as he celebrates his birthday on Thursday, the Raazi actress thanked her father for giving her the greatest present she could ever dream of- him directing her in Sadak 2!

Not only this, Alia also posted a video on Twitter announcing the sequel to Sadak and wrote, “SADAK 2 @MaheshNBhatt @PoojaB1972 @duttsanjay #AdityaRoyKapur #MukeshBhatt @VisheshFilms #Sadak2….”
In the video, few clips of the original movie, Sadak, plays out and eventually, it unfolds into its sequel, Sadak 2.

Sadak (1991), directed by Mahesh Bhatt was a super-hit film and after 27 years, the filmmaker is all set to return with a sequel of the same.
In Sadak, Pooja Bhatt essayed the role of a sex worker. The film also starred Sanjay Dutt in pivotal role.
The film which is special on various levels, not only because Alia will work with her father for the first time, but also because she will share screen space with sister Pooja.
Sanjay, who is extremely close to Bhatt, reunites with him 23 years after Gumraah (1993), while Aditya, on the other hand, returns to the banner that gave him Aashiqui 2 (2013), which put his career on the fast track.
Sadak 2 is all set to hit the screens on March 25, 2020.
