JP Dutta's 'Paltan' starring Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary. Jackie Shroff, among others is slated to release on September 7

The title track of filmmaker JP Dutta's forthcoming film Paltan was released on August 13.

The song, titled Paltan O Paltan, happens to be the first song from the film to be released for the audience to enjoy.

The video of the song looks at the Indian battalion, lead by Sonu Sood and Arjun Rampal, preparing for a combat and marching through rocky and snowy terrain, with the undying spirit of fighting for the nation.

The song talks volumes about brotherhood and the passion a soldier has to protect the country's territory against all odds and defeat the enemy.

While crossing the terrains, they sing 'Paltan O paltan, tere liye laye hum tann mann', which primarily means that the soldiers' have dedicated their bodies and souls in the service of their country.

Incidentally, the song marks the reunion of JP Dutta with lyricist Javed Akhtar and composer Anu Malik

The trio had earlier collaborated for the famous Sandese Aate Hai song from Border (1997) and later LOC Kargil (2003).

Now, after a span of almost 15 years, the team is endeavouring to revive the magic for Paltan, the third film in JP’s war trilogy.

The song, which features actors, including Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary– was shot at Khardung La Pass in Ladakh in -20 degree celsius.

The song sung by Divya Kumar, Irrfan, Adarsh and Khuda Baksh will ignite within you a sense of brotherhood and patriotism.
