Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas completed two years of marital bliss in December 2020. The couple has been in head-over-heels in love with each other and after having long distances they shared the maximum time during the coronavirus lockdown. Now during an interaction with Elle UK, Priyanka revealed one important rule they have kept in their marriage to break the long-distance time and again.
The actor stated, "We see each other every three weeks. Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise, we’d never see each other. Our teams also had to get married!"
Talking about Nick and her teams, Priyanka said, "They have to talk to each other like, 'I am scheduling her here. No, we can’t do it... This is when we’re free... We have to move this.' It’s like a big marriage. It’s not just us but our families and teams, too."
On completing two years of marriage with Nick, PeeCee gushed, "It feels like so long but it also feels like a snap of a moment, too. I can’t explain. It’s so weird... I feel like I don’t remember what life was before I met him."
When asked about his proposal to her after two months of dating, Priyanka narrated, "I didn’t expect the proposal at that point... It was two months! I thought it would happen, but it was still a complete shock. [But] I relinquished control and I just went with it. We were just sporadically meeting for about two years. We were texting and stuff, and there may have been a part of me that wanted something serious. But I was taking a hiatus from guys at that point. I didn’t want anyone romantically. But there’s always been something about Nick, which is why we always ended up staying in touch, no matter where we were. One thing to know about my husband is that when he makes up his mind, he’ll get what he wants! When he knows, he knows. There’s such sublime confidence to it that you can’t help but be like, 'OK'."
