Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra seem to share a very frenemy vibe. At one point, they compete with each other and in the other, they show their mutual admiration.
It all began post their last release in which they featured together – Bajirao Mastani. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh, who seems to be the bond between both PeeCee and Dippy, also featured in the film as Bajirao.
Both DeepVeer (Deepika-Ranveer) and Nickyanka (Nick Jonas-Priyanka Chopra) announced they are getting married at the end of this year. Priyanka Chopra made her exit from her much-awaited Bollywood debut film Bharat starring Salman Khan amidst rumours of her ‘seeing’ Nick Jonas. The reason for her exit as quoted by the director Ali Abbas Zafar was ‘very very special’ and she told them ‘in the Nick of time’. These clues were enough and soon we heard that Deepika also agreed to marry her love Ranveer, who were in constant PDA during her Cannes appearance in 2018.
And hence, Deepika and Ranveer got married in Lake Como, Italy in November, which was followed by their reception in the beginning of December. It was the same time when Priyanka tied the knot with Nick in Jodhpur, which is quoted as the reason why PeeCee couldn’t attend the DeepVeer reception.
Anyhow, it is interesting the know that since the DeepVeer receptions are now over, Deepika has received an invite for the Nickyanka reception which is supposed to be held very soon tonight. In fact, she was one of the first invitees, confirmed her manager to DB post. The manager said, “Yes, she will be attending the reception and was one of the first ones to receive the invite.”
Nick and Priyanka hosted a reception for the media on Wednesday, after they hosted one in Delhi. Interestingly, even Deepika and Ranveer hosted a reception in Delhi, followed by one in Mumbai for media, friends and family, and then one for the film fraternity.
