At the recently held Women in World Summit 2019 in New York, Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened up about facing sexual harassment at one point of time.

Last year in the month of September, when Tanushree Dutta opened the gates of #MeToo movement in India, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was first of the Bollywood celebrities who supported her on social media. PeeCee wrote on her Instagram page, "Believe Women". She even quote tweeted Farhan Akhtar's tweet where he lent support to Tanushree. Priyanka wrote, "Agreed..the world needs to  #BelieveSurviviors". At the recently held Women in World Summit 2019 in New York, PeeCee opened up about facing sexual harassment herself.

She stated, "Sexual harassment had become a norm with women. Now because of the support we are giving each other, people don’t have the power to shut us down. We always had a voice. Just nobody heard us. Now because of the support we are giving each other, nobody can shut us down. And that’s an incredibly powerful thing to see. Now if I have a story I don’t feel I am alone anymore – and I am not ashamed of it."

Priyanka wrote about attending Women in World Summit 2019 on her Instagram page. It read as, "So proud to share the stage with the incredible women who took the stage before me and after me at @womenintheworld. Your game changing work is shaping the world and moving the much needed needle for women. I applaud you and feel proud to have had the opportunity to share this platform with all of you. #TinaBrown, Thank you for having me. #WITW"

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor recently signed a Hollywood project with Mindy Kaling.
