It’s official! Priyanka Chopra starts filming today for The Sky is Pink. In fact, the actress was so excited to begin that she couldn’t help but post about it on social media, where she shared some snippets from the set and the beginning of the shoot day.
Priyanka posted a picture of the team behind the movie on Instagram and wrote, “I’m so excited and happy about today…Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhary and her incredible parents Aditi and Niren we bring you our tentatively titled super special project The Sky is Pink. Going on floors today. God Speed.” Priyanka will co-produce the film along with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film will be directed by Shonali Bose and will also star Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, who plays their daughter and the movie’s central character.
The actress shared another picture from behind-the-scenes of the first day of shoot on her Instagram story. The movie is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, a girl from Delhi who became a motivational speaker when she was diagnosed with an immune deficiency disease at the age of 13.
The movie won’t be released till 2019. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s other venture, Cowboy Ninja Viking, with Chris Pratt has also been delayed indefinitely and its release date has been shelved, although it is still in production.
