Purab Kohli recalls rejecting a film with Shah Rukh Khan after Rock On. Purab will always be remembered as the drummer KD from Rock On.

The critical and commercial success of Abhishek Kapoor's directorial debut gave a boost to Purab's career. The actor got several movie offers and he rejected many of them. However, he even lost the opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan and made a candid confession about it.

While speaking to DNA India, Purab reveals he rejected working in a film with Shah Rukh Khan and also shares the reason behind it. Purab says, "Post Rock On there was a film that I was supposed to cast with Shah Rukh Khan. I didn't have the dates, maine kuch aur comment kiya tha, and I lost that opportunity. Though I felt bad, I signed something else. So I had no choice." Purab hopes he will get another chance to work with him, "I really like to be in a film with him. That would be fun," Purab adds.

Purab also confesses how he started measuring his career post-Rock On, "After Rock On what happened is that I signed a few movies as a lead and then every project that I was been approached for, I started measuring whether it's a lead role, or is it as good as KD. I've said no to many films. But in hindsight, if it would have happened again, I would have handled it differently."

The actor further adds, "I don't regret my decision, because I have said no to a few bad films. But maybe I would have done a bad role for the experience of working with somebody." The actor says that he is okay to do a bad film, just to grab the opportunity of working with talented people. "I have said no to some people that I really like to work with. I wished I would have worked with them. There are few talented people that you truly respect, and if you get an opportunity you grab it. It might not come again, Purab concludes. On the work front, Purab was last seen in 36 Days.
