When I read the script of Kaamyaab, I felt an immediate connection with the characters, says Rachita Arora

Music composer and singer Rachita Arora (Sacred Games, Mukkabaaz, Newton, etc) has bagged the Best Music trophy at the recently-concluded ImagineIndia Madrid Film Festival in Spain for her upcoming movie Kaamyaab starring Sanjay Mishra.

Rachita says about bagging the trophy, “When I first read the script, I felt an immediate connection with the characters. The story is about irrational ambitions of artistic consciousness and honesty. While doing the songs and background score, I learnt so much from Sanjayji’s character’s journey. We deal with the same kind of fear, confusions and conflicts in our daily lives. I am sure the film will give meditative peace in the time of hectic lifestyle and radical competition.”

The musician, who has also done the background score for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, adds that it’s nice to be recognised for one’s work. Though, “Working on Kaamyaab itself was an award.”
