Pankaj Tripathi, who won a National Award for his performance in 'Newton', has been running from one film-set to other these days. While films like 'Bareilley Ki Barfi', 'Fukrey Returns' made 2017 extremely special for Pankaj, 2018 promises to be even better with as many as 8 releases!
His first film of the year, 'Angrezi Mein Kehete Hain' got released on May 18, 2018. Pankaj’s role in the film, though small, got noticed by the audience. Along with the Sanjay Mishra starrer romantic comedy, Pankaj also made his debut in the Punjabi film industry with 'Harjeeta', in which he played the character of Indian hockey protégé, Harjeet Singh’s coach.
The actor is currently gearing up for the release of Rajinikanth's much-awaited film 'Kaala'. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Aman Kaushik directorial horror comedy, 'Stree', with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor and Anubhav Sinha's political satire, 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai,' which boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak, Pawan Malhotra, Richa Chadha, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutta, Manoj Pawha, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Prateik Babbar to name a few.
Pankaj will also be playing a pivotal role in the upcoming romantic crime drama, 'Phamous.' And it's not just the silver screen that will be lit with his phenomenal performances. Pankaj also has two web-series lined up 2018 - one is Farhan Akhtar's crime drama 'Mirzapur' with Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi and second is the newly announced Indian remake of the BBC series, Criminal Justice.
